Discuss abt the new smut update

I was wondering why not just add an option for 18+ content to be removed or maybe hide 18+ content to users who are minor registered on their emails. I understand if the goals to just make sure no 18+ content reaches minors but I was wondering if there was smut in a manga/manwha would it be removed even if it's not very common or explicit. Or are only very explicit and smut driven content being removed? I'm pretty curious on how far the new rule reaches.
