Summary

The hero Marik Galliard, who once repelled the Demon King’s army, is betrayed by his comrade Lienus, who is jealous of his fame, has his magic sealed, and is exiled to the frontier. Fifty years pass in a remote village, and the now-elderly Marik is visited by Lienus’s granddaughter, a girl named Reyes, who offers both an apology and to lift the sealing spell. Accepting her feelings, Marik regains his magic and youth, but the price is that Reyes turns to stone and becomes a statue.
